Is something stirring in Scotland?

Is something stirring in Scotland?

A prophecy talks of 300,000 families to be saved in Glasgow!  Is the time now for revival in Scotland!

Scotland

In 1967 Jean Darnell had this vision…

“And what I saw was the British Isles, as in a bird’s eye view. A kind of haze was over the whole, like a green fog. And then little pinpricks of light began to appear from the top of Scotland to Land’s End. Then the Lord seemed to draw me closer to these lights, and I saw that they were fires that were burning. They were multiplying from the top of Scotland to Land’s End. Then I saw lightening come and strike those fires, the brightest spots particularly, and there was a kind of explosion, and rivers of fire flowed down. Again, the sense of direction was from the top of Scotland to Land’s End.”

For a long time, people from Scotland to Lands End have prayed for this to take place.  This summer many in Scotland are wondering, hoping and praying that the time is now.

So, is a “mega-tsunami” type of revival coming to the UK? A tidal wave that will reach the 50 European nations, with one of the epicentres in Glasgow, Scotland.

Recently Franklin Graham preached in Glasgow where a crowd of 7,560 people filled the OVO Hydro for the God Loves You Tour UK. More than 320 churches throughout the region partnered with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, and over 115 buses brought people from communities throughout Glasgow and beyond.

“Our church is in a very deprived area. We see depression, mental health problems, financial issues, we see it all. And it’s not just our church, it’s people all over Scotland. Nothing is going to help Scotland apart from Jesus,” said Alex Gillies, pastor of Victory Christian Centre in Glasgow, and his wife Charlotte after they watched hundreds of people come forward to surrender their lives to Jesus Christ. “What we saw gives pastors and churches like ours hope because in the middle of all this chaos, people are seeking. This gives us a lot of hope.”

Since that night in June the ripples of revival as these hundreds of new believers have gone back into their chaotic communities have spread. More and more people have heard the Good News of Jesus from these new converts and they too have made a commitment to The Lord.

In May, Rev David Cameron made this statement about how“the Church of Scotland is on the cusp of a transformation and revival that demands bold decisions and genuine embrace of change.”

Rev David Cameron, convener of the Assembly Trustees, said it is poised for renewal and ready to “proclaim the Good News in ways that resonate with the needs of our time”.

But the most encouraging and challenging vision came last year Gery Malanda (Voice of Healing)  Stirring the Waters of Revival spoke about what he believes the Holy Spirit is doing in the UK at this time.

“The vision of Stirring the Waters of Revival started for me back in 2007, when the Holy Spirit spoke to me about a “mega-tsunami” type of revival that was coming to the UK. I heard that the tidal waves of this revival will reach the 50 European nations, and one of the epicentres will be in Glasgow, Scotland.  Being divinely warned by God like Noah of the coming of the abundance of rain in Hebrews 11:7, I have prepared through praying and fasting.”

By faith Noah, being warned by God concerning events as yet unseen, in reverent fear constructed an ark for the saving of his household. Hebrews 11:7

He went on to say…

“The Lord spoke to me about 300,000 families will be saved in Glasgow. In 2018, the word of the Lord came to us as a church, saying – For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.  Habakkuk 2:14

Do you live in Scotland and see revival taking place?  Do you live in Glasgow and have you witnessed the new converts from the God Loves You Tour Event?  We would love to know what’s happening in your church and community.  Let us know by emailing media@worldprayer.org.uk
