Praying for those in Authority

Praying for those in Authority

Prayer for those in authority TUESDAY 10TH JANUARY 7.30PM TO 9PM VIA ZOOM

From Sue Sinclair at Community watchmen minsitries

1 Corinthians 15:57-58 “Thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labour in the Lord is not in vain.”

here is still much to be done as we see so many organisations continuing to strike and there is a sense of increasing unrest.  As we all know all too well our NHS is in a really desperate state and will not be helped by the continuing strikes announced.   I heard from a reliable source that at one time in the last few days, there was only one children’s ICU bed available in the whole of the nation.  Half of the ambulances in one county were parked up outside one hospital caring for patients, who could not be taken into the hospital as there was no room.

Isaiah 41:10 “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.  I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

We need those to arise who can bring good solutions to the organisation, not only pay increases to those working so hard in extremely difficult situations.

Psalm 32:8 “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.

I am encouraged amidst this that Extinction Rebellion have temporarily stopped the public disruption.  They have recognised their protests have not worked and have turned the public against them.  Meanwhile the environment really does need a turn around.

We continue to look to God for a fresh outpouring of Holy Spirit across the Church as in Acts 2.  A really outpouring that will set His people ablaze so passionately and powerfully that not only will we all be changed forever, but people will come to catch the fire for themselves.

Preparations will now be well underway for King Charles II Coronation amidst the continuing family battle being played out across the media.  How heart breaking for everyone concerned.

Psalm 90:17 “May the favour of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us – yes, establish the work of our hands.”

We hope you can join us as we sense the urgency to pray so that we can see the breakthroughs come.
