What was once an unspoken topic within football, displays of Christian faith have become an ever more frequent feature of the English game.
Major footballing stars like Eze, Saka, Boku, Allison, Semenyo have started a conversation in football stadiums and beyond about following Jesus.
F3 Football Charity (Faith, Football, Fellowship) is a UK-based Christian charity that is playing its part in the Jesus revolution in Football. It uses football to share the gospel, offering discipleship for players and community outreach, including prison ministries and school assemblies.
They even run an evangelistic podcast featuring professional players discussing how their faith in Jesus impacts their careers.
F3 Football began in November 2017 when four young footballers with a hunger for God got together for Bible study in London, UK. The F3 vision has continued to grow over the years with over 100 football players from across the world now a part of the F3 community.
The vision didn’t just stop with sharing the gospel and making disciples within the football world. F3 began to branch out into conferences, events and mission trips to impact the wider community through football.
Today, F3 has footballers represented in all the top eight leagues within the UK as well as USA, Europe and Africa.
The F3 team were at Spring Harvest. They gave a talk to over 100 young men and women and spoke about the growth of faith in football. You could hear a pin drop as the F3 Team spoke about their faith and the footballers they disciple.
Gavin Calver Leader of the Evangelical Alliance recently spoke at their conference and describes it perfectly…
“It is so incredibly exciting what the Lord is doing in the world of football. The testimonies were amazing. Praying for even more impact from Christians who are within the beautiful game in the days ahead.”
Join us praying for F3 and the footballers it disciples. Also, for more professional footballers to come to faith and be bold enough to share that they believe in Jesus.
