It was meant to be a joyful time for thousands that flocked to the streets of the Liverpool Parade to celebrate Liverpool Football Clubs Premiership victory parade. Instead, it turned into a sad day for many after a car was driven into the crowds on the streets. It was not a terrorist incident and a man has been arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit on drugs and dangerous driving.
Our friends at Community Watchmen Ministries, are mobilising people to pray in the aftermath of the accident yesterday. We hope that you can join us praying with prayer points they sent us.
Prayer points for Liverpool incident:
1) God’s presence to brood over Liverpool and touch many lives.
2) Peace on the streets of Liverpool as people will be very upset, possibly affected by drink plus others who look for opportunities to cause trouble.
3) The families who have been affected.
4) Anyone injured.
5) All traumatised.
6) The Police and emergency services.
7) The doctors, and staff caring for those injured and counselling staff.
8) The media and social media for truth to be reported sensitively.
9) The aftermath and recovery.
10) How the Church will respond.
