I have recently moved house. I don’t want to ever move again! It is amazing how much stuff we accumulate over the years, but moving is a good excuse to sort through things and you come across things you had forgotten about, but they are so precious.
This happened to us at World Prayer Centre this week. We were talking about our next revival prayer hour and Diana and Laurence have been sorting through some old WPC stuff and found many prophecies and things written down for WPC. God then reminded us of a prophecy that was given at our Blessing the Commonwealth event in 2022, by our friend Wanda Fost from Canada about the praying grandparents. As we read through it, we began to get excited as we felt the Lord urging us to pray for the older generation.
Much prayer is going into the younger generation now, and we are seeing God answer but what about the grandparents and the retired church leaders, and those that have been praying for years. There are many who may have been hurt by church and broken by family and life’s challenges. God loves them and wants to heal them and restore them. He is not finished with the older generation yet! The younger generations need you. For the Body of Christ to function in all its fullness, there has to be harmony in the Body.
Wanda prophesied to the over 60’s:
“I want to speak to you because I believe the enemy has been speaking to you and telling you that your time is up…. It’s time to quit… it’s time to pass it on to the younger generation… but I believe that you’re going to be restored in your youth and especially here in the United Kingdom. We’re seeing that God has the plan for those who have laboured and toiled and have brought forth that which we are seeing today being established on earth. And you are going to see with your own eyes those prayers, those dreams being answered and fulfilled… Receive the youth anointing now
in Jesus’ Name… there’s a breaker anointing upon you – it’s time to dream again, it’s time to let go of the past and take hold of the future that God has for you.
Moses was 80, Sarah was 99, Abraham was 75 when they began their ministry. Where you’ve walked to this day has been training… now you’re stepping into your destiny! This is the day to step into the fullness of the call of God on your life! Do not shrink back! The next generation needs you…everybody needs you… we need your wisdom, we need your prayers, we need your counsel… It’s time to wake up……! What the enemy has tried to suck out of your bones – it’s time to take that new marrow from the Kingdom of God and to establish again everything that you were created to be. Dream again, write! sing! If you’ve got any gift at all, give it to the Lord today!”
Wanda’s full prophecy can be downloaded for you to read as we are going to be praying into this, and for the grandparents on Wednesday. We are asking God to restore harmony to the Body. We are seeing huge rises in Gen Z coming back to church. Who is going to disciple them and teach them how to pray? There is a wealth of knowledge and wisdom in our older age that can be passed onto to them.
The prophecy also speaks of the 40’s to 60’s having a bulldozer anointing to take back what the enemy has stolen. The 20’s to 40’s having a pioneer spirit upon them in the UK, like those that gave up everything and travelled around the world to share the Gospel. The under 20’s, God is calling them deeper to do what He calls them to do. David was only 15 when he killed Goliath. God is using the younger generation who He will raise up as David’s and Mary’s to change the world.
The prophecy also goes on to say that God has chosen Britain to bring the family together and to unite kingdoms to make us one.
