Last month, the World Prayer Centre launched a new Birmingham prayer watch focusing of praying for our beautiful city of Birmingham! We were blessed that so many turned up to pray for Birmingham and we want to continue to build the momentum with our next gathering on Monday 29 July at 7pm. We want to build on the prayer history of our city as we raise up a canopy of prayer.
“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you.” Isaiah 60:1-2
Last year, Birmingham was declared bankrupt. We are sensing a need to go deeper in praying for the city of Birmingham. It is a time to call forth the watchmen on the city walls and the gatekeepers at the city gates to mobilise the intercessors to pray day and night for our city.
Father is calling WPC to step into our calling as a house of prayer in Birmingham and to fulfil the calling he has given us as watchmen and gatekeepers.
Our city needs us! It is the praying people standing in the gap and building our section of wall that will see the hand of God move.
The location is at our new office space on Newhall Street in the Jewellery Quarter. There is free street parking after 6pm (it is in the Clean Air zone). It is approximately 10-15 mins walk from New Street train station and the Jewellery Quarter tram station.
