Over the past year, a few of us have carried a growing conviction from Isaiah 28:6 — that “the battle is at the gate.” In prayer, we have sensed clearly that while there are signs of spiritual stirring and awakening across the British Isles, there is also resistance. The battle is real — but it can be turned in the place of united, intentional prayer.
That conviction led to the January Turn the Battle initiative — three days of prayer and fasting across the UK and Ireland. It was never about creating an event or platform, but about humbling ourselves as God’s people (2 Chronicles 7:14), seeking His face, and aligning afresh with His purposes. Hundreds — and in some cases thousands — of churches and believers responded. It felt less like something we organised and more like something the Spirit was already stirring. In the months since, we have sensed strongly that this was not meant to be a moment — it was the beginning of a sustained posture.
The Lord has impressed on my heart: “Do not let up. Keep the pressure applied in prayer.”
That is where Strike the Ground comes in. The phrase comes from 2 Kings 13, where Elisha tells the king to strike the ground. Because he did it half-heartedly, he received only partial victory. The lesson is clear: wholehearted, persistent engagement matters. We believe this is a season not for passive prayer, but for deliberate, faith-filled obedience.
From April 7–16, a small team will travel to several cities across the British Isles. We are not coming to host events, build networks, gather crowds, or establish something organisational. We are coming quietly and relationally — to stand on the ground and pray with those who already carry responsibility in that region. The spiritual authority rests with local leaders. We come as servants, not strategists.
At the same time, we are inviting believers across the UK and Ireland to prayer-walk their streets during those ten days — 20 minutes, 30 minutes, an hour, once or daily. Not as performance, but as presence. We believe there is something powerful about physically treading the ground in faith, declaring God’s promises over towns, cities, and regions.
Our aim is simple: sustained, unified, humble prayer across these nations.
Some of you were part of January. Some were not. Either way, we would love to walk this next step together — not to create something new, but to faithfully respond to what God seems to be saying in this hour.
The battle is at the gate.
But together — in prayer — it can be turned
