When you read Matthew 24 in the bible, you cannot think that it is exactly what we are experiencing now. Jesus was telling the disciples about the sign of His coming and the end of the age. I think it is safe to say that we are living in the end times.
I am always drawn to verse 14, “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” There are an estimated 3.4 billion unreached people in the world, which represents about 42.6% of the global population, according to the Joshua Project. The largest unreached populations are in Asia, Africa and Europe.
At the time of writing, the You Version online bible app has just had it’s 1 billionth download and still counting. With the internet and technology available now, the gospel can go places where we can’t go. Now more than ever, we can reach the unreachable, but it needs to be birthed in prayer. The Joshua Project highlights peoples and places with the least access or response to the gospel so the Body of Christ can prioritize its prayer and mission efforts.
At World Prayer Centre, we are praying every Tuesday evening for the unreached people groups of the world. We can be part of praying for the Gospel to go to all the nations so Jesus can return! We are partnering with the Joshua Project by posting an unreached tribe each week on our social media channels for people to pray. We want to encourage others to pray for unreached people. The Joshua Project website has amazing information on unreached people groups and prayer points on how to pray.
