Our tribute to the Queen

Our tribute to the Queen

Never in our lifetime have so many declarations, statements, proclamations been made concerning our late Queen Elizabeth, our new King Charles, our new Prime Minister and Government, past Monarchs, past Prime Ministers and Presidents Governors and rulers.

We have sat at times in recent days and marvelled and rejoiced as mainstream media has openly made statements concerning Queen Elizabeth’s strong faith and how Jesus was the rock she had built her life upon and the King she served during her 70 years of rule and reign.

We give thanks for the life and testimony of our late Queen, and whilst we commit ourselves as individuals and a team to obey the scriptural command to pray for King Charles and our Government, we also take time, to think and reflect, wonder and worship, the Servant King she served.

It is said of Christ Jesus, “Being in the very nature of God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to His own advantage; rather He made Himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to death – even death on a cross!  (Philippians 2: 6-8 NIV)

Unlike the death of all previous Kings, Queens, Presidents, Prime ministers and Rulers, this Servant King’s death was not the end of the story. The writer goes on to say, ”Therefore, God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of the Father.” (Philippians 2: 9-11 NIV)

Today, by the grace and mercy of God we declare, “This is our God, the servant King” and we invite you to join us in a simple yet profound prayer to the One, God has exalted to the highest place with a name above every name.

King Jesus be the centre of it all.

King Jesus be the centre of my life.

King Jesus be the centre of Your church.

King Jesus be the centre of………………………………               Amen

Join us on Saturday 17th September as we exalting Jesus over all that is happening at present for our Global Prayer Watch.
