Rooted is an 8 week online discipleship course to build your faith. It will help you to build strong foundations in the Christian faith.
You may have just made a decision to follow Jesus, or been a Christian for some time but want to go to a deeper level with your walk with Christ. Discipleship is about becoming more like Jesus. Deep roots help to grow a strong faith. This course aims to make young disciples into mighty oaks. It is aimed at new believers and young people but is open to anyone that feels they need help with their Christian walk.
The free online course will be over 8 weeks – once a week for 4 weeks, with a short break and then another 4 weeks. It will start on Thursday 7th May and be every Thursday in May. The course will be on Zoom.
You will receive a discipleship manual and the course will cover the following topics over the 8 weeks:
D – Death – End of the old life
I – Identity – The Kingdom Life
S – Spiritual weapons – God’s equipping
C – Counselling – God’s healing
I – Inspiration – God’s Word
P – Prayer – Talking to God
L – Listening – Hearing from God
E – Evangelism – Sharing God & Spiritual Gifts serving God
The course will be taught by Pastor Sheila Hendley who leads the Academy for Life urban training school and she is a leader at The Net church in Perry Common, Birmingham. Sheila has many years of experience of ministry and is a gifted biblical teacher.
