Welcome to the British Isles, where there are a number of relational networks that link up leaders in prayer.
Pray for England is a relational network of leaders with a heart for prayer drawn from churches, cities, towns, villages, counties, and sectors of society that was started 30 years ago, through the work of Brian Mills and others at the Evangelical Alliance UK. It is currently networked through a team led by Jane Holloway at the World Prayer Centre.
There is a general group and an houses of prayer group. If you know of anyone who would like to connect email Jane on pr****@*************rg.uk
Houses of prayer have a big vision! As in Habakkuk 2:14 and Acts 1:8, they are praying that the earth will be filled with the glory of God, and that God will cause the influence of the gospel to go from our local places to the ends of the earth. Often there is a desire for continuous worship and prayer in some shape or form, or a place soaked in the presence of God. The HOP can be about people in prayer together but is increasingly about a specific, dedicated space being created for the primary purpose of prayer (Matthew 21:13). This can be for retreat, strategic intercession or a more corporate expression of prayer and worship than in a local church. The place can be a church, home, office, workplace or dedicated building. Many do not have a web or social media presence.
Here are some that do. If you want to find out more about houses of prayer email Jane pr****@*************rg.uk
