JOIN US ON SUNDAY 11 MAY FROM 8 – 9PM TO PRAY INTO THE ASSISTED DYING (SUICIDE) BILL
On Tuesday evening 6 May, Murdo Fraser, MSP hosted the latest SUPP (Scotland United in Prayer for Parliament) gathering at Holyrood, along with Stuart Weir of CARE Scotland.
With a key vote on the Assisted Dying (Suicide) Bill due on Tuesday 13th May, this was our main focus for a powerful time of prayer, and of worship to the God who holds the destiny of nations in His hands.
In discussion after the meeting there was swift agreement that there should be a time of national prayer online about the Bill and Tuesday’s vote. This will be on Sunday 11 May, from 8pm – 9pm.
Pray for Scotland will host this on Zoom. Already Stuart Weir and Lynne Paterson, EA Director for Scotland, have agreed to lead sections.
This call is being put together at short notice – will you help to get the word out to your church, denomination, network, contacts, and encourage folk to join in? We can take up to 500 screens – wouldn’t it be wonderful if every space was taken?
The Zoom login details are below. Please share these only with folk you know and trust. PLEASE do not publicise generally on social media, to avoid unwanted intrusion, and PLEASE ask those you send details to not to publicise the link generally also.
On Tuesday Murdo told us that many MSPs have still to make up their minds. There is still time to tip the balance in God’s favour! We know He can do it without us, but He has called us to pray and intercede – and as we know so well – PRAYER CHANGES THINGS!
We hope to see many of you on Sunday evening. Every blessing as you continue to ‘pray for Scotland’!
Alistair Barton
Director
