Birmingham needs your prayers.  We have sensed a call to build a canopy of prayer over our city like Nehemiah was called to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem.  We want to build on the foundations that have already been established and like Nehemiah we want to build the canopy together.  We are calling Christians in Birmingham and further afield to stand together and rebuild a protective covering over the city. 

“We prayed to our God and guarded the city day and night to protect ourselves”, Nehemiah 4:9

You can play a vital role in strengthening the Canopy of Prayer and mobilising prayer for our city and nation. 

What the world sees as rubble, God sees as building material!

Through your generosity, you will empower WPC to:

• Build a canopy of prayer for Birmingham: Your gift can enable us to have a dedicated person working on building the Canopy of continuous prayer, who will connect with people in the city with a passion for praying for Birmingham.  We want to see our city changed through prayer and this outworking physically impacting areas of society.
• Expanding our prayer watches: We have many that connect with us virtually, however we are also looking to meet more regularly in person to pray.  Our vision is to see places of prayer in the north, south, west and east of the city.
• Prayer conferences: Calling Christians together for strategic prayer conferences to equip and release prayer warriors.
• Establishing networks: Identifying and facilitating networks for watchmen, gatekeepers and intercessors to strategically respond and release prayer alerts.
• Empower protection across the nation: We want to empower others to establish canopies of prayer in their locations so that we can see change through prayer.

The book of Nehemiah teaches us the importance to unite and rebuild a city to the glory of God.  Stand with us in prayer or through your gift to help shape the heart of the nation.
