Being A Good Neighbour In A Crisis

Being A Good Neighbour In A Crisis

We are living in unprecedented times.
As the UK faces the impact of the coronavirus, how can we respond? This is an amazing opportunity for the Church to arise. This is a time to pull together and be good neighbours in our community and provide much needed support, particularly for the vulnerable and those that do not know Christ and are fearful of what is happening.
Last weekend, as we started to see the seriousness of the unfolding impact of Covid-19, Colin and I decided to send a note to all our neighbours on our croft to say that we want to support our community at this time and set up a WhatsApp group so we could help with shopping, collecting medicine, or providing a listening ear or prayer if anyone needs it or has to self-isolate.
Out of 16 houses, we have 12 people on our group. We have been chatting and supporting each other this week and we pray that this continues after this pandemic has ended. This is an opportunity to share the Gospel and the hope of Jesus with our neighbours.
Pray and ask God what you can do to support your neighbourhood and ask Him to open doors of opportunity.
