Standing in the gap for Venezuela

Standing in the gap for Venezuela
venezuela

The recent double earthquake in Venezuela has left over 4500 dead and thousands missing.  The nation was already struggling with political and economic instability, so this has devastated the nation.  We felt the need to continue to stand in the gap for our Global prayer watch last Saturday. As the World Cup and other issues, means that Venezuela has slipped off the radar, but the need is immense.  We want to invite you to join us in continuing to pray for Venezuela and its people.  Here are the prayer requests from a contact in Venezuela.

  1.  Pray for all the local churches around Venezuela who have responded outstandingly, their generosity and willingness to travel more than 10 hours to go and help out. But by now, donations have decreased greatly because of the economic situation. Please pray for more miracles even in this area. Pray for the strength of the pastors in those areas that have lost families and everything. There is one pastor in particular who lost all his family (wife and children)
  2. Pray for more technical help to recover bodies so families will be able to bury them.
  3. Pray for the government and political stability, that corruption will be stopped.
  4. Pray for protection for the children who have been taken to hospitals without their parents. There are rumours that some of them have been kidnapped for human trafficking.
  5. Pray for families that were separated at the beginning to be reunited soon. There are children, teenager and elderly people in hospitals without families. As well as families in despair trying to find their loved ones.
  6. Pray for more miracles from GOD. Declare that JESUS IS THE RESURRECTION AND THE LIFE over this country, over the Venezuelans, greatly affected after this.
  7. YWAM Caracas and Puerto La Cruz are doing a great job. Pray for the YWAM teams out there, for wisdom, provision and protection.
  8. The main affected cities are: La Guaira, where the International airport is, Caracas, the capital, and Tucacas, on the coast. The main help has been sent to La Guaira (the most affected), so Tucacas is being neglected. Pray about it.
  9. Pray for wisdom as I am doing logistics for connections with good teams, for donations and communication, for favour from God in all of this.
  10. Pray for lots of salvations, as many of us are thinking of evangelising with GOD’S guidance in these times. JESUS IS WORTHY.
  11. Pray that the international help that is arriving in Venezuela will truly arrive in the right hands.

THANK YOU SO MUCH for your interest in praying for us.
