THE CONFERENCE
The aim of World Prayer Centre's annual conference is to look at how to address the current spiritual needs of our nation and world. The conference will be a time of praise, worship and creative prayer exploring issues and initiatives including the National Prayer Strategy and preparation for the 2012 Olympics.
The conference will give:
- An overview of the spiritual climate in the British Isles & around the world, providing the bigger picture of how God is at work to encourage believers.
- Informed prayer into specific areas of concern in our nation & the world.
- An update on the World Prayer Centre vision to see a centre for 24/7 global prayer in Birmingham.
CONFERENCE HOSTS
The World Prayer Centre team will host the conference led by Ian Cole, Jane Holloway and Sue Harvey. Ian has a passion to see prayer infiltrate every area of local, national and international life and is a member of the International Prayer Council. Jane is the Global Day of Prayer UK co-ordinator, Director of the Prayer Forum of British Isles & Ireland and she is leading the prayer stream in preparation for the 2012 Olympic games. Sue is involved in mobilising prayer for Birmingham and takes prayer teams into other nations.
TEACHING
Paul Miller is a well respected teacher and co-founder of New Day Ministries. Paul has been part of the World Prayer Centre journey for many years and serves as a Trustee. He will be part of the teaching ministry along with World Prayer Centre team and other friends who will be sharing at the conference.
WORSHIP
Laurence Sharman will be leading the worship team at the conference. As part of the World Prayer Centre team, Laurence has developed and enhanced both the worship ministry and the operational life of WPC over the last 4 years. Laurence brings with him a passion to see the spiritual lives of our cities transformed through dynamic praise, prayer and worship and a desire to see people draw closer into the intimate presence of God.
